Photovoice: Aiming for Impact - The 2024 Virtual Conference

OCTOBER 16-19, 2024

“Photovoice: Aiming for Impact” aims to share, envision, and strengthen the impact of photovoice projects around the world. It builds on the inaugural 2022 conference, “Photovoice at 30: Past, Present, Future,” which engaged 180 photovoice and participatory photography practitioners, scholars, participants, and leaders in keynotes, oral and poster presentations, panels, networking activities, and workshops.

With photovoice, the “how” of the method – building relationships, sharing power, and respecting process – is as important as any community or policy end-result.* The guiding conference question is: How can we maintain a balance between photovoice processes and impact while aiming to motivate and maintain momentum for social change?

Abstract Submissions: Submissions are open from April 1 - June 1, 2024. Track leaders will review submissions and select some for oral and poster presentations.
